This is our general information page,
mainly for loose items that do not fit into any other of our pages
categories. There are various links and photos here for you
to browse. Check out the bottom
of this page for more features. A couple
of the things we
feature in this section of our site is a copy of the United States
Declaration of Independence
and the Bill of Rights. Since this non-commercial
site is a companion site for www.gunsofold.com, a site that sells
replicas of historic guns, there is some concern with the controversy
over the almost continual threat of the removal of our (and
your) Second Amendment Constitutional Rights as an American citizen.
If you are a visitor from outside the United States, you may
view this as a curio, or a parallell for your own national history and
culture. After all, many of the most legendary firearms ever
produced came not only from America, but from Europe. This
site is open to those from all nations, and all are welcome to visit as
often as you wish.
"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed"
This is the main point of the Second Amendment to the United
States Constitution. In theory, anyone who opposes it, or
attempts to
alter or nullify this document or the laws asscociated with it, are in
direct violation of the United States Constitution, which is supposed
to be be upheld by the United States Supreme Court, the highest and
most powerful court in the United States. Obviously, there
are a lot of people who are intent on doing all they can to remove or
restrict the rights granted to American citizens by the Second
Amendment to the Constitution, and many other things as well.
"Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect every
one
who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but
downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are inevitably
ruined."
-- Patrick Henry, speech of June 5 1788
"When the people fear their government, there is tyranny. When the government fears the people, there is liberty."
--Thomas Jefferson
We are not in the business of promoting one political agenda
over any other, but as American citizens and entrepreneurs, we feel
that these are important things to us, and we truly value our freedom,
as it has been awarded to us by the bravery of the original founders of
our nation in the 1700's, and by those who have defended it since.
Good or bad, firearms have always played a major role in these
proceedings. It would be wrong to take freedom for granted, and
it would never have happend in the first place, without firearms. While
we do not sell actual firearms in our store, (other than those which
fire only blanks) we still promote only the safe, legal and responsible
use of firearms of any kind, by sensible adults. Enjoy your visit
to this extra section of our site. The flag graphic above is a

Click on the image above for very large-scale pictures of the Constitution of the United States. These photos are of extraordinarily high quality, and are in the public domain, which means there is no copyright. They are courtesy of www.wikipedia.org, the non-profit online encyclopedia site with a wealth of very good information, and the one of the leading sources for starting general research. Likewise, if you click on the image to the left, below, you can access or download a very large high-resolution photo of the Declaration of Independence.
On this page, you will also find links to interesting, non-fictional historical stories, involving classic guns and other items, written by our own in-house authors. Other things will be added here, as we come up with them. Drop by and check whenever you like! We have a lot of interest in the history of the American Old West, World War 2, and other historical periods. We have some entertaining stories of the real-life exploits of famous US Marshalls, lawmen and gunfighters. See the links below for interesting stories and more.
